Kansas Boiler Safety Act Amendment Goes into Effect July 1

Topeka –  The Kansas Boiler Safety Act was amended in the 2022 legislative session.  HB 2005 was passed, which amended the provisions of the Boiler Safety Act (Boiler Act) to change the requirements for a boiler operating certificate for certain Hot Water Supply Systems.  Starting immediately, Hot Water Supply Systems that are under 120 gallons nominal water capacity or 200,000 BTUH no longer need to be inspected and certified.
